Grease Interceptors by Lowes Highland

Highland (Lowes) Tank’s Grease-Interceptors model GreaseStopper® Automatic Grease Interceptors. Designed to intercept and remove large quantities of fats, oils, and grease (FOG).

** Revit Format (.RFA)  files for Integration in Engineering Plans are available for the GreaseStopper® products. **

Fats, oils, and grease that discharged from food service facilities and large commercial/institutional kitchens.  These might interfere with the proper drainage and treatment of municipal wastewater.

GreaseStopper® Automatic Grease Interceptors range in size. From relatively small units, which allow installation in a kitchen under a sink or other limited space, to large higher volume units. GreaseStopper®’s incorporate an electrically powered grease-skimming device.

During operation, the grease is separated by gravity flotation where it can be skimmed off the top surface of the water on a time or event controlled basis. The skimmed grease is collected in a waste disposal container, outside the unit, for disposal or recycling.

Highland Tank manufactures the most extensive line of grease interceptors in the industry. More than just a grease trap, the Greasestopper® automatically removes collected FOG for rendering. All of our automatic grease interceptors are highly efficient grease recovery devices (GRD). These automatic grease recovery units are fabricated to comply with the Plumbing and Drainage Institute’s standards and meet the ASME A112.14.4 standard.

Hydromechanical Grease Interceptors

Our Passive Grease Interceptors (PGI), also known as gravity grease interceptors and hydromechanical grease interceptors, treat kitchen wastewater from food service establishments (FSE) using gravity separation. Gravity grease interceptors are fabricated in accordance with ASME A112.14.3.

FOG Monitoring

Wastewater samples are easily collected with an optional sample well or sample box. Solids interceptors, strainer baskets, FOG monitoring systems and many other accessories and options are also available.
